Aurora Lake

Aurora Lake has great fishing for walleyes and northern pike.   It can only be reached by a hundred yard portage from McCusker Lake.  A boat and motor are in the lake, so you only have to take yourself and fishing gear.

The fishing in Aurora is often very good.  It has a number of shoals and weed beds that are fish magnets.  The small size of the lake means that it warms up quickly in the spring, so fishing is often quite good early in the season.

Aurora Lake is a darker water lake, so fish can often be found very shallow.  Aurora Lake is located west of Curley Bay.  The McCusker Lake map below shows the location of Aurora Lake relative to the camp.
