Walsten
Outposts are located in the heart of the wilderness in northwestern
Ontario, Canada. Vistors
from the United States usually cross the border at International Falls,
Minnesota and travel on to Kenora, Ontario, a two hour drive
north. Guests are then flown further north by float plane to our
fly-in outposts.
Our
outposts are located in the heart of the boreal forest. There are
no roads within miles except in in the case of our Separation Rapids
location, which is drive in. The lakes are mostly bordered by a
forest of mature native trees, mainly jackpine.
